Domestic violence is a serious social phenomenon that significantly affects victims and their immediate environment. However, the current legal system in Slovakia literally forces victims of violence to repeatedly prove that they have indeed become victims involuntarily. Unless the victim can prove that the abuse is long-term and escalating (lack of evidence, insufficient psychological or medical assessment), the victim cannot seek justice and remains without help. It is important to realize that domestic violence does not begin with murder. Unfortunately, many people are still not aware of this.

Therefore, the target group of the civic association is most often victims of individuals showing traits of cluster B personality disorders, or with Cluster B personality disorders. According to the latest surveys, approximately 1-2% of people have this personality disorder, and 15-20% of people with narcissistic, psychopathic, sociopathic and histrionic tendencies.

Within the Civic Association Nikdy Viac, we are already active in the front line, such as field social work, assistance with representation in court proceedings, assistance in the role of a confidant in communication with the ÚPSVAR (Office of Labor, Social Affairs and Family), guardianship, or the police, we provide assistance with debt relief in cooperation with debt relief centers, we are helpful with psychodiagnostics, we help with departure, separation, divorce, or in the post-divorce period. We cooperate with a network of safe shelters for victims of violence.

• Support group: Not only individual support, but support for the entire group, because only if the victim feels unconditional acceptance and understanding, is she able to share her experiences and subsequently accept help.
• Mentoring: Help in the form of education in a given area, individual consultations and mentoring in which we accompany victims step by step on the path to healing and also acceptance of themselves, to authenticity, setting boundaries.
• Legal advice: Help with representation before courts and state authorities, defense in preparatory proceedings and legal hearings.
• HR coaching, job advice: We help victims get back on their feet through individual coaching in the work area, creating a CV, help in finding a job, defining a work area and subsequent networking throughout Slovakia, so that the victim can find a job as soon as possible. and thus get back on their feet financially. During the first months of employment, we create a supportive environment.

• Psychodiagnostics: We provide consultations and cooperation with psychologists in the Slovak Republic and abroad, so that they can return the victim to reality and help her to be free again in the newly established reality. Since not only women but also children suffer from life in such relationships, we plan to focus on them in the future and thus be able to reverse the impact of the ignorance of this and previous generations in future generations.
• Asylum: Accommodation of victims in safe asylums throughout the Slovak Republic, our own asylum, cooperation with a network of asylums.
